Jennersville Hospital is pleased to announce several leadership changes that became effective November 19, 2018. Claire Mooney, DNP, MBA, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Jennersville Hospital, assumed the role of Interim President and CEO, Jennersville Hospital. Mooney joined Tower Health in 2016 as Senior Director of Nursing, Reading Hospital, where she led the cardiac bundled payment initiative. She became CNO for Jennersville Hospital in January 2018.
Mooney earned her MBA from Alvernia University in Reading and a Master of Nursing in Leadership and Health Systems Management from Loyola University – New Orleans, La. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Loyola University - New Orleans, La., in 2018 and is recognized as a published local and national presenter.
Valeriana Hoffman, MSN, RN, has assumed the role of Interim CNO, Jennersville Hospital. She is responsible for all leadership and management of the nursing department and serves as a patient advocate to enhance the patient experience. Hoffman has over 12 years of healthcare experience, most recently as Director of Nursing Operations at Brandywine Hospital. In that role, she worked directly with the CNO to oversee the nursing department, achieving staffing goals which led to the reopening of a 23-bed medical surgical floor.
Michael Szymanski, CPA, has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Jennersville Hospital. In this role, he is responsible for management and oversight of financial operations for Jennersville Hospital. Szymanski also manages the hospital’s internal financial policies and procedures.
Szymanski has more than 30 years’ experience in accounting and finance and most recently served as CFO at Doctors Hospital of Manteca in Manteca, Calif. He also served as Assistant Chief Financial Officer at The Hospitals of Providence – Memorial, in El Paso, Texas, and Controller at The Hospitals of Providence – Sierra, El Paso, Texas. Other positions in his extensive career include Internal Auditor, Director of Payroll, and Accountant.
Szymanski received his Masters of Accountancy from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M., and his Bachelors of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.
